Learning Advancement

Learning Advancement Program is part of our summer program designed for students ready to get a head start on their next grade. In this program, we provide students with an overview of key concepts and we cover from 60-70% of materials they will encounter to help boost their confidence when they get back to school for the next school year. We have also seen a correlation between confidence and success at school.

 

ESL Program

ESL Program

The English as Second Language(ESL) program focuses on four main areas: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. We start to teach English from the basic fundamentals of letter sounds. From there we move forward with reading basics and accelerate into writing, speaking and listening. The uniqueness of this ESL program is that we structure it to meet the needs of the individual and it is open to adults, as well as K-12 students.

French Classes

A-Star offers French classes to enhance students’ speaking, writing, listening and reading fluency in these languages. We also provide Maths, Science and Social Studies tutoring in French for students enrolled in French immersion schools.

This is our unique group program for high school students, to prepare them for success in the university and life. Students learn life skills that enable them to thrive as responsible citizens of society.
