Is AStar an online or physical tutoring platform?
AStar offers both online and in-person tutoring sessions. While most of our sessions are conducted online for flexibility and convenience, in-person sessions can be arranged at a public library or in the student’s home, depending on your preference.
Do you use the school curriculum?
Yes. We primarily follow the Alberta curriculum to ensure alignment with local academic standards. For students outside Alberta or Canada, we tailor our approach to match the specific curriculum they are using, so each learner receives relevant and personalized support.
How do you help with exams and assessments?
Yes. We provide targeted preparation for PATs, Diploma exams, and other assessments as needed, helping students build confidence and perform at their best.
How do I track my child’s progress?
Session reports are available within 24 hours of session completion through our Learning Management System (LMS), which you can access at any time.
Do you offer tutoring in other provinces apart from Alberta? Are the conditions the same?
Yes. We offer online tutoring to students in other provinces and countries, with the same policies, structure, and quality of service applied consistently across all locations.

AStar tutors are a carefully selected blend of certified teachers (both current and retired), experienced educators, postgraduate students, and industry professionals, each with strong subject-matter expertise in their area of instruction.
